The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has released the Draft Citizen Participation Plan (CPP) and the Draft Remedial Design Work Plan (RDWP) for the Onondaga Lake Bottom Subsite Remedial Design Program.
The Draft CPP is the agency’s plan for communicating with the public during the lake’s restoration. It ensures the public has access to information and can comment and offer input throughout this process.
The Draft RDWP outlines activities and schedules for implementation of the lake remedy. The plan is based on relevant U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and DEC guidance documents.
DEC will issue fact sheets throughout the Onondaga Lake restoration. The first fact sheet can be found at the following link:
Individuals interested in further information regarding the Draft CPP should contact Stephanie Harrington or Diane Carlton at DEC Region 7 directly at 315-426-7403.
